Hot chilli is much more than a cash crop: it's a strategic, high value-added sector, with growing worldwide demand. From fresh to dried, ground to industrially processed, chillies represent a major economic lever for rural areas in Africa.
Eschkol Agroindustries has made hot pepper the cornerstone of its agro-industrial strategy. We grow, process and export chilli-based products to African and international markets, while creating inclusive value chains with high revenue potential.
Our Approach
We are developing industrial and community hot pepper plantations, focusing on resistant varieties, sustainable cultivation techniques and intelligent irrigation systems. We are setting up local processing units to produce sauces, powders, preserves and natural extracts.
Every stage from production to processing is governed by standards of quality, traceability and compliance with export norms. We integrate small producers, women and young people into the value chain to maximize local benefits.
Our impact
Our activities have increased partner growers' yields by a factor of 4, reduced post-harvest losses by over 60%, and created new outlets for thousands of tonnes of processed chillies every year.
