Thierry Zomahoun is a Principal Partner at Eschkol Agroindustries (Wyoming), Managing Partner of GITStratech Group, and President & CEO of the Independent Commission on Sustainable Development Progress (ICSDP). With over three decades of senior executive leadership in development, higher education, and management and technology consulting, he has driven transformational initiatives across four continents.
Thierry founded Gamma Institute of Technology (GIT); and the Next Einstein Forum (NEF), a pioneering global scientific platform dedicated to advancing science, research, and innovation across Africa. As the growth architect and the inaugural President and CEO of the African Institute for Mathematical Sciences—AIMS Next Einstein Initiative, Thierry designed and spearheaded the institution’s growth from a single-country academic initiative into a pan-African and a globally recognized network of centers of excellence in mathematical sciences.
Thierry’s ability to navigate complex systems and lead organizations through high-growth and fast-paced environments makes him a sought-after leader in strategy, operational excellence, and organizational development. He has led high-level negotiations and mobilized large-scale investments. He has also advised startups, social ventures, international organizations, and governments on business and economic development, education and learning, innovation and transformation.
A seasoned strategist and systems-thinker, Thierry has served on numerous boards of directors and was a member of the United Kingdom’s Trade and Investment Task Force (UKTI) for Africa. He continues to play a catalytic role in the fields of education, innovative learning, entrepreneurship, economic development, and strategic advisory, with a focus on systemic change and lasting impact.
Named one of the Top 100 Most Influential Africans in 2019, Thierry is an alumnus of prestigious Ivy League schools such as McGill University and HEC Montreal in Canada, and the Geneva Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies (IUHEID) in Switzerland. He is also a graduate from the National University of Benin
